◊ Scene+ Points Days Terms and Conditions
- Scene+™ Points Days is a promotional 3-day event from November 7, 2025, to November 9, 2025 (“Offer Period”), where Scotiabank® credit cardholders and debit cardholders who are eligible and have registered to participate will receive Bonus Points on purchases made with their eligible account cards (as listed below in Section 6) (the “Offer”). Bonus Points earned under this Offer are in addition to the regular Scene+ Points earn rate on the eligible Scotiabank credit cards and debit cards.
Eligibility and Registration
- This Offer is applicable to all eligible Scotiabank credit card and ScotiaCard debit card holders whose Scene+ membership or Scotiabank address on file is within the provinces of Ontario or Quebec and who hold an eligible Scotiabank Scene+ credit card or Scotiabank chequing or savings account with a Scene+ ScotiaCard debit card.
- To participate in the Offer, you must be the primary borrower or co-borrower on an eligible Scotiabank credit card account and have a card issued on that account or the primary or joint holder of an eligible Scotiabank chequing or savings account with a Scene+ ScotiaCard debit card.
- The eligible cardholder must self-register at https://cloud.news.sceneplus.ca/scene-points-days between September 3 and October 24, 2025, in order to participate in the Offer. Note that registration is at the Scene+ membership account (number) level (not at the Scotiabank account level). If a Scene+ member holds multiple eligible Scotiabank credit cards and debit card accounts with the same Scene+ membership number, then only one registration is required.
- If registration is not successfully completed as set out under these Terms, eligible cardholders will not be able to participate in the Offer and will not earn Bonus Points, even if the eligible spend on purchases is made with an eligible Scotiabank credit card or debit card during the Offer Period.
Bonus Point Earn
- Eligible purchases made between November 7, 2025 at 12:01 am ET to November 9, 2025 at 11:59 pm ET will earn bonus Scene+ points (the “Bonus Points”) at the following rates:
- • 1 Bonus Point earned for every $1.00 in eligible purchases applicable to the following credit cards: Scotiabank® Scene+™ Visa* Card, Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite* Card, Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite Privilege* Card, ScotiaGold Passport® Visa* Card, Scotiabank American Express® Card, Scotiabank Gold American Express® Card, Scotiabank Platinum American Express® Card, Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite Business* Card, Scotia® Home Hardware PRO Visa* Business Card, and ScotiaGold Passport® for Business Visa* Card.
- • 1 Bonus Point earned for every $5.00 in eligible purchases and 1 Bonus Point earned for every $1.00 in eligible purchases at Cineplex locations using the Scene+ ScotiaCard debit card linked to the following Scotiabank chequing or savings account: Student Banking Advantage® Plan, Getting There Savings Program for Youth, Ultimate Package, Preferred Package, Preferred Package for Students and Youth.
- An eligible Scotiabank credit card or Scene+ ScotiaCard debit card holder (based on Scene+ membership number) can only earn a maximum of 5,000 Bonus Points per Scene+ membership number regardless of how many eligible credit cards or debit cards they individually have.
- Eligible purchases for all of the eligible Scotiabank credit cards excluding the Scotia® Home Hardware PRO Visa* Business Card is defined as purchases (as defined in the Scene+ Program terms and conditions) (less any refunds, returns or other similar credits), but does not include payments, cash advances (including balance transfers or cash-like transactions), interest, fees or other charges.
- Eligible purchases for the Scotia® Home Hardware PRO Visa* Business Card is defined as purchases at Home Hardware, Home Building Centre, Home Hardware Building Centre, Home Furniture locations in Canada and online at homehardware.ca(opens in new tab) (less any refunds, returns or other similar credits) but does not include payments, cash advances (including balance transfers or cash-like transactions), interest, fees, or other charges.
- Eligible purchases for Scene+ ScotiaCard debit card is defined as purchases (less any refunds, returns or other similar credits) but do not include payments, cash withdrawals, fees or other charges.
- For credit cards only: Eligible purchases made with a Supplementary Credit Card(s) during the Offer Period will count towards the cumulative spend of the primary borrower on the eligible Scotiabank credit card account only and any Offer points will be awarded to the that primary borrower’s Scene+ membership account only, up to the permitted maximum of Bonus Points (see Section 7).
- For joint eligible chequing or savings accounts linked to the Scene+ ScotiaCard debit card, eligible purchases made with any Scene+ ScotiaCard debit card will count towards the cumulative spend of each Scene+ ScotiaCard debit cardholder separately. The Bonus Points will be awarded to the applicable accountholder's Scene+ membership account, up to the permitted maximum of Bonus Points (see Section 7).
Fulfillment of Bonus Points
- Eligible Scotiabank credit card accounts and eligible Scotiabank chequing or savings accounts must be open and in good standing as per the terms of their account agreements up until the time of Bonus Points are awarded under this Offer.
- Any Bonus Points earned under this Offer for eligible debit purchases will be applied to the Scene+ membership account on the same day as the regular Scene+ Points earned for that Purchase. However, any Bonus Points earned under this Offer on returns, adjustments or other similar credits to purchases will be deducted from the Scene+ membership account.
General Terms
- By registering for this Offer, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data in accordance with Scotiabank Privacy Agreement and Scene+ Privacy Policy.
- Scotiabank reserves the right, at its sole discretion to, terminate or suspend the Offer, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way, without advance notice.
Scotiabank reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend, disqualify, limit or revoke this Offer for any person it finds or believes to be manipulating or otherwise abusing the process, fairness, or integrity of the Offer or that otherwise becomes ineligible.
- By accepting this Offer, you agree that you have read and understood these Scene+ Points Days Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
- The Scene+ Program Terms and Conditions (available at https://www.sceneplus.ca(opens in new tab)) also continue to apply to this Offer and to these Scene+ Points Days Terms and Conditions, including to any Bonus Points earned under this Offer.

∞ Scene+ Members earn, on average, 30,253 more points with a Scotiabank American Express Gold Card, 22,753 more points with a Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite Card, 5,968 more points with a Scotiabank Scene+ Visa Card, and 4,346 more points with a Scotiabank American Express Card. Based on a comparison over 12 months (from October 2022 to September 2023) of average Scene+ points earned by Scene+ members using a Scotiabank credit card that earns Scene+ points on eligible purchases vs. average points earned by Scene+ members without an eligible Scotiabank Credit Card. ‡ You can use your Scene+ Points for a credit on participating Scotiabank debit card and credit card accounts that earn Scene+ Points (the “Eligible Scotiabank Scene+ Card Accounts”). Once the request to redeem Points for Credit has been submitted, you cannot cancel the request and no changes can be made. It may take up to 2-3 business days, following a request to redeem Points for Credit, for the credit to appear on the eligible Scotiabank Scene+ debit card account, and up to 5 business days for the credit to appear on the eligible Scotiabank Scene+ credit card account. Your Eligible Scotiabank Scene+ Card Account must be open at the time the credit is applied to the account to receive any Points for Credit.
For credit cards: Points for Credit redemptions will be applied towards the balance of the credit card account, and not towards a particular transaction. the Visa credit card network as: Grocery Stores and Supermarkets; Eating Places and Restaurants, Drinking Places, Fast Food Restaurants; Entertainment including Motion Picture Theatres, Theatrical Producers, Ticket Agencies, Bands, Orchestras, Miscellaneous Entertainers; Railroads, Local and Suburban Commuter Passenger Transportation, including Ferries, Passenger Railways, Taxicabs and Limousines, Bus Lines, Transportation Services (Not Elsewhere Classified). Some merchants may sell other products/services or are separate merchants who are located on the premises of these merchants, but are classified by the credit card network
in another manner, in which case this added benefit would not apply. The annual spend calculation for the $50,000 maximum threshold is calculated annually from January 1st to December 31st each year. You will earn

You are awarded three (3) Scene+ Points for every eligible $1.00 CAD purchase in gas, public transit and select streaming services purchases charged and posted to the Scotiabank Gold American Express Account (the earn rates for each of the above categories and merchants are referred to as the "Accelerated Earn Rates"). You will earn the accelerated Scene+ Points (6X, 5X or 3X as applicable) under the Scene+ program if you make purchases in Canadian currency only. For purchases that are made in foreign currency, you will only earn 1 Scene+ Point for every $1 charged to the Scotiabank American Express® credit card once that foreign currency has been converted into Canadian dollars.
Merchant classifications - American Express network Purchases must be made at merchants classified through the American Express network with a Merchant Category Code ("MCC") that identifies them in the American Express network in the "grocery", "dining", "entertainment", "gas", "streaming service" or "transit" category. Purchases at merchants where these categories are not their primary business do not qualify.
